HP announce new W Series laptops
HP have brought out a new range of W Series laptops, these are ideal for a wide range of purposes, from school, business and home use. There is in effect a laptop for everyone within this range that offers a 14 inch, 15.6 inch and a 17.3 inch display for the consumer to choose from, with a high specification and a whole host of options for the buyer to add their touch to the build.
HP EliteBook 8760w offers a choice of 17.3 inch diagonal LED back lit FHD WVA antiglare display or the 17.3 inch diagonal LED back lit FHD UWVA anti-glare with DreamColor. It will be powered by one of the processors from the Intel Core i5 and i7 with vPro technology range and a choice of high-performing AMD FirePro or NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics.
There will be up to 4 GB of video memory and can even be configured with up to three hard drives, with RAID 5 support too, this is a first for all HP mobile workstations. When it comes to weight, it starts off at around 7.66 lb (3.47 kg) and size wise the dimensions are (w x d x h) 16.4 x 10.7 x 1.47 in (41.65 x 27.27 x 3.74 cm).
The HP EliteBook 8560w comes with a nice sized 15.6 inch diagonal LED back lit FHD WVA anti glare with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution or the 15.6 inch diagonal LED back lit FHD UWVA anti glare including DreamColor and with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
This laptop is going to be powered with a choice from the Intel Core i5 and i7 with vPro technology processors with support for the AMD FirePro graphics for 1 GB of video memory or the NVIDIA Quadro graphics for 2 GB of video memory. This laptop weighs in starting at 6.69 lb (Starting at 3 kg) and its dimensions (w x d x h) are 15 x 10.1 x 1.36 in (38.2 x 25.75 x 3.45 cm).
Finally there is the HP EliteBook 8460w is the smallest and lightest mobile workstation in the W Series range, with a 14 inch diagonal LED back lit high definition anti glare display or alternatively there is the 14 inch diagonal LED back lit HD+ anti glare option to choose from.
It will be powered by the Intel Core i5-2520M (2.50 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache) with the AMD FirePro M3900 1 GB dedicated DDR3 video memory professional graphics card. This weighs just 4.9 lb and its dimensions (w x d x h) are 13.31 x 9.11 x 1.25 in (33.8 x 23.13 x 3.18 cm).
The HP EliteBook 8760w is priced at $1,899, 8560w has a price tag of $1,349 and the 8460w will be priced at $1,299
